    Trangia Stove
Our favorite stove. We've been using it for over a year and love it - small, reliable, indestructable.
    JustMobile External Battery
Our secret middle-of-nowhere electronics-charging device. It can keep the iPhone charged for a couple days.
    Shimano 12-36 Cassette
Excellent cassette for fully-loaded touring. The lowest possible gears currently on the market! (We use on our 26" and 700c LHTs.)

    Some snaps from the ride…

    By Russ | May 29, 2009

Laura and I rolled into town a few hours ago. I downloaded the photos I took from our trip through Carrizo Plain and the Sespe Wilderness. In a word, the ride was “epic.” The route was planned by our friend Chris an experienced tourist and he brought us out to some of the most remote parts of California. On most days, we carried about 2 gallons of water and a few days food. I processed a few of the pics and put them in a Flickr set here. We’ll be writing more about our experiences soon. For now, check out the pics!

Wow! Yet another place in California I want to ride. Death Valley in April 2010 for the Death Valley Century - that’s first on my list.

      Great photos!
