    Trangia Stove
Our favorite stove. We've been using it for over a year and love it - small, reliable, indestructable.
    JustMobile External Battery
Our secret middle-of-nowhere electronics-charging device. It can keep the iPhone charged for a couple days.
    Shimano 12-36 Cassette
Excellent cassette for fully-loaded touring. The lowest possible gears currently on the market! (We use on our 26" and 700c LHTs.)

    1st Mobile Post!

    By Russ | May 18, 2009

Ok, not exactly blogging from anywhere exotic (the livingroom), but testing out the WP app for the iPod touch! Now only if I could take photos too. Darn.

After some messing around with the iPod Touch, the virtual keyboard really blows for typing anything more than a tweet, so I’ve added a twitter feed that shows our latest tweet on the right. Hmm, might just use that for “on the road” updates and WordPress for when I can get to the laptop. Ah, the joys of Web 2.0.

      Hey Russ,

As a head’s up if you are planning on carrying a cell phone you could update twitter via SMS text message. Tammy uses tweetpic and twitter with her camera phone all the time. Her phone isn’t even a smart phone just a “cheap/free” camera phone that Sprint gave us for renewing our contract and with it she tweets pictures and updates her status. ;)

      Cheers,
      L

Can you show photos of what you are taking in the way of computer, solar charger, phone equipment? Thanks…
