Gear we use that we really REALLY like. Purchase it from the link and help support us!

    Trangia Stove
Our favorite stove. We've been using it for over a year and love it - small, reliable, indestructable.
    JustMobile External Battery
Our secret middle-of-nowhere electronics-charging device. It can keep the iPhone charged for a couple days.
    Shimano 12-36 Cassette
Excellent cassette for fully-loaded touring. The lowest possible gears currently on the market! (We use on our 26" and 700c LHTs.)

    Thursday, April 29th, 2010

We weren’t quite sure what to expect at our presentation at Trinity Bicycles in Fort Worth, but we were completely blown away last night. For a town that is so below the radar in terms of great bicycling cities, there was a sense that something was on the verge of happening. Laura and [...]

    Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Apologies for the lack of posts lately, but we are moving through space and time to Fort Worth and internet has been hit or miss or really inconvenient (like under an awning of a State Park HQ while its drizzling). Here are some snaps and captions from the last few days.

    Riding along a ridge [...]

    Our Austin S24O

    Monday, April 19th, 2010

Since we’ve been traveling, we’ve had a lot of time to think about what we want to accomplish with our trip. Beyond our own personal goals and interests, we feel really strongly about encouring others to travel and explore by bicycle. Bicycle travel has changed our lives and our perspectives about these United [...]

    Thank You Austin!

    Friday, April 16th, 2010

    Thanks Austin!
After three months of cycling across the desert, and through a long and cold winter, rolling into Austin was like stumbling into some great other-world. Everything was so green, people were so friendly, and there were bikes everywhere! We knew that we wanted to spend at least a couple weeks in town, [...]

    Putting the desert into Jewelry…

    Sunday, April 11th, 2010

If you’ve been following us on our long, long ride across the desert, you know how expansive it is. Vastly empty and dry, with only cactus and a few hardy plants to break up the flat, barren land. Pitch-black darkness at night, with a sea of stars.
For the past few months, [...]

Austin’s Bright Idea: The Story of Flashbak

    Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

The story of the Flashbak, a bicycle safety light that was invented by a native Austinite doesn’t begin with a bicycle at all. It begins with a dog named Rockie, a German Shepard that was both deaf and blind. Needless to say, Rockie would often wander away and because of her condition she would [...]

At our last outoor presentation, we showed some videos from the Web to get people excited about bike touring. For those that missed our mini bike touring film festival, here are some of the clips we played and some extra ones we didn’t. We hope that these give you the itch to hit [...]
