Geez it’s freaky watching those cars come at you from the right lane! Have you gotten used to it yet?

Looks like fun. Why are you salmoning?

Why are you riding in the middle of the road? Ride on the left and you’ll be less likely to be hit from behind. For experienced tourers you’re not setting a good example…

  • Fred – we’ve found that on high speed descents riding on the edge will cause you to get into more accidents. Riding in the middle when you are moving fast keeps you from falling off the berm as well as maintaining visibility with vehicles behind you. It also signals to cars behind you that it unsafe to pass. We move to the edge when it is safe for everyone to pass but to ride there the whole time is inviting trouble.

  • Ben – they ride on the left side here so we’re not salmoning :)
